Arduino technology is changing rapidly, and a few important changes have occurred since this book was published in 2010. Though somewhat out of date, this book is otherwise a reasonable beginner's guide to learning Arduino, both programming and the electronics. Most of the content is still correct.  The focus is to learn as you go by building projects, and new concepts are explained by the author as they come up. This approach is good for tutorial books like this one, rather than reference books.  PROS Reasonable starting point for beginners Reasonably good explanations.

In short. If you have an Arduino, you will enjoy this book. The book is organized by project. Each project has a parts list, schematic, breadboard layout, code, pictures, and build instructions. The instructions explain and teach along the way. So, you cannot really ask for more in this layout. It is a fun book to read. It includes intro on Arduino hardware and programming language. The projects range in skill level. So this book can be enjoyed by beginning and intermediate levels, but also there are some projects that push the envelope and show advanced use.
